About me
I'm an artist who's passionate about projects that shed light on unique perspectives, cross genre boundaries, and inspire empathy. I have a BFA in Drama (2018) from NYU Tisch School of the Arts, with training from the New Studio on Broadway for musical theatre and Stonestreet Studios for film/TV acting.
Most recently seen in A Public Fit Theatre Company's 2025 mainstage production of References to Salvador Dalí Make Me Hot (Cat)! Read our scrumptious reviews here:
"Aurora Watts-Esquibel and José Anthony are charming and delightful as the Cat and Coyote, playfully flirting between love, sex, and death." - Eat More Art Vegas by Erik Engman
"Aurora Watts-Esquibel is enticing and sinuous, feline and intriguing; I could watch her Cat play with that oversized ball of yarn for more than we’re allowed." - Dreaming Out Loud by Timothy Cummings

I grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada in a blended Italian-American and Latino (New Mexican) family, and was first inspired to create by my dad’s songwriting and punk band (listen to their music here and my originals here). I started singing, dancing and writing music/poetry at a very young age. After discovering theater in 7th grade drama club, I attended Las Vegas Academy of the Arts as a Theatre major where I decided to pursue acting professionally.
At NYU, I produced and directed my own scripts (read & watch them here) and collaborated on new musicals written by students of the Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program, originating two title roles (Medusa and The Glass Girl). I debuted original music & lyrics in the Tisch Mainstage production of Polaroid Stories (Philomel) and ended my college career in New Studio on Broadway's production of HAIR (Dionne).
After graduating, I worked on several new musicals in New York City, including the 2019 Off-Broadway workshop of Rose's War (Anna) at Teatro LATEA and others at 54 Below, The Duplex, Two River Theater, Royal Family Productions, and BerkleeNYC. Since moving to Las Vegas in 2021, I have been featured as a lead in various commercials and indie films, most of which can be found on IMDB. I performed for a year and a half as a resident vocalist in The Venetian Resort’s Italian concert program, Streetmosphere, and I can be found singing at various venues around the city and at church. Look out for my debut EP of original music soon!
